Welcome Message from the Rector's Office

Dear Students and Parents
We are delighted with your decision to join Oluaka Institute of Technology (NBTE accredited Monotechnic Tertiary Institution), Opposite Overcomers’ Bus-Stop, Obinze, Owerri West, Imo State, Nigeria. We hope that your time with us will be happy and productive and that you will thrive on all the benefits the Institute has and promises to offer.

Oluaka meaning handwork or handiwork was established in 2017 and accredited in 2018 by the Federal Ministry of Education (FME), Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and National Board for Technical Education (NBTE); in response to the myriad of problems facing youths and graduates in Nigeria today such as inability to secure a white collar job, high rate of unemployment, lack of know-how and skills sought after in today’s work environment, lack of theoretical and practical aspects in field of specialisation and poor mentoring.

Hence Oluaka Institute of Technology was established to provide a stimulating environment, state-of-the-art resources and a curriculum designed to help students gain know-how, knowledge, and required confidence expected for a rewarding career of their choice. We take pride not only in the quality of teaching but also in the theoretical and practical aspects, all of whom are at your disposal to provide you with a comprehensive and inclusive innovative educational experience.

Technological and innovative excellence is what we strive to achieve. Our National Diploma (ND) Programmes are unique and focus on the expressed needs of Society and Industries. We will continue to grow and enrich our innovative and technological competency.

The need to have handwork or handiwork-based youths and graduates is imperative and we must continue to draw from the wealth of innovative teaching and technological methods to adequately utilise the knowledge and experience that Oluaka Institute of Technology has to offer.

We welcome you to the new academic calendar year. The open call for admission is ongoing for our National Diploma Programmes (Full-time and Part-time), Tech Short Courses, Developers’ Programme, and Skill Acquisition Programmes.
