Oluaka Institute of Technology, accredited by the Federal Ministry of Education, NBTE, and JAMB, offers a rigorous Pre-National Diploma program. General Admission Requirements for Awaiting or Incomplete O’ Level Result Minimum Entry Qualification for (Pre-Nd Courses)

The general admission entry requirements for a one (1) years Pre-National Diploma (Pre-ND) are:

  1. Candidate must have attempted the following examination at a maximum of two (2) sittings in:
    • The West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSSCE),
    • The National Examinations Council (NECO),
    • The General Certificate of Education (GCE).
  2. Candidate must have obtained a Pre-ND Registration Form at the Administrative building of the Institute.
  3. Candidate must present with six (6) passport photographs and birth certificates at the Administrative building of the Institute.
  4. Candidate must pay the stipulated Tuition fee for one (1) year Pre-ND programmes.
  5. Candidate must pass all the courses in aggregate to be able to gain Direct Entry (DE) into the National Diploma Programme.

National Diploma Admission

General Admission Requirements Minimum Entry Qualification

The general admission entry requirements for the two (2) years National Diploma (ND) are:

  1. Minimum of Credit passes in five (5) subjects obtained at a maximum of two (2) sittings in:
    1. The West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSSCE),
    2. The National Examinations Council (NECO),
    3. The General Certificate of Education (GCE),
    4. Any such equivalents to the above, e.g. NTC, NBC, NABTEB etc.
  2. The Credit passes should compulsorily include English Language, Mathematics, and any three of the following Physics, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Biology, Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing etc.
  3. Minimum of Ninety (90) Score from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination.
  4. The candidate must have chosen the Institute or apply for a change of institution at the Institute Business Support Services Centre.

Higher National Diploma Admission

General Admission Requirements Minimum Entry Qualification

The general admission entry requirements for the two (2) years Higher National Diploma (HND) are:

  1. Candidates for the Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes must possess the National Diploma (ND) of the Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification from other similar institutions whose programmes have earned NBTE accreditation.
  2. Candidates must possess a National Diploma Certificate in the course they intend to pursue at the Higher National Diploma level.li>
  3. Candidates seeking admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes must ensure that they were offered admission through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

    Note: Any candidate who does not have an admission letter and registration number from JAMB for the National Diploma programme is ineligible for admission into the Higher National Diploma programmes, as such persons may not be mobilized for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme.

  4. Candidate must compulsorily possess five (5) Ordinary Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and any three of the following Physics, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Biology, Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing etc., not more than two sitting.
  5. Candidates must have at least one year Post National Diploma (ND) Industrial Experience (IT) or two (2) years Post National Diploma Industrial Experience for candidates with a passing grade at the National Diploma level.
  6. A cademic transcripts from the candidates’ Institutions must be submitted before the application for the Higher National Diploma admission will be processed. Candidates should note that any student found to be deficient in the relevant requirements, after the offer of admission, will be withdrawn from the institution.
  7. Candidates do not require writing UTME again or obtaining the JAMB direct entry form.
  8. Candidates are only to participate in the school’s organised entrance test and interview or screening.
