Director's Message
Greetings from Oluaka Institute of Technology, OIT, Owerri -Imo State. On behalf of the Advisory Board of OIT, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our great institution. At Oluaka we take pride in training and developing knowledgeable and skilled young persons who would not only stand out in their generation but will impact their world in the field of technology, entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership.
Young persons are the future of any nation. Thus, they are precious assets that should be treasured by parents, guardians and the educational institution they enroll in. We therefore work hand in hand with parents and guardians and seek their support and partnership in actively being involved in the education of their children and wards.
According to Sydney J. Harris, a renowned American journalist, author and columnist, “The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows”. Thus, education should help our young ones look into themselves to see the world; and what they are. At Oluaka we provide a learning environment that is non-discriminatory, supportive and challenging. We provide our students various opportunities to engage and reflect over diverse perspectives; while thinking critically and creatively. Our students don’t see problems. They see challenges that they are eager to solve.
As you take the first and most important step to apply to OIT, I say congratulations. You have made the right choice. We are a south-east technology institute supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.
